DFS Gears Up for Special Campaign 4.0: A Commitment to Cleanliness and Efficiency
The Department of Financial Services (DFS), under the Ministry of Finance, is once again ready to embark on a transformative journey with Special Campaign 4.0, scheduled from 2nd to 31st October 2024. This campaign, spearheaded by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), aims to institutionalize cleanliness across government offices while ensuring a systematic reduction of pending matters.
What is Special Campaign 4.0?
Special Campaign 4.0 is an extension of the Government of India’s ongoing efforts to improve workplace hygiene, increase operational efficiency, and minimize procedural delays in governmental operations. This campaign will focus on cleanliness (Swachhata) drives and addressing long-pending public grievances in a timely and transparent manner.
DFS, having actively participated in Special Campaign 3.0 in 2023, achieved significant milestones, such as minimizing pendency, freeing up valuable office space, and contributing to cleanliness at numerous sites. The department is committed to building upon this momentum during the upcoming Special Campaign 4.0.
Key Highlights from Special Campaign 3.0
Between November 2023 and August 2024, DFS and its associated organizations achieved impressive results, including:
- Cleanliness Campaigns Conducted: 1,056 sites and offices were cleaned, reflecting a strong commitment to maintaining a Swachh office environment.
- Space Freed: A substantial 1,11,349 square feet of space was cleared, further enhancing workplace efficiency.
- Revenue Earned from Scrap Disposal: A remarkable ₹4,20,76,728 was generated through the disposal of scrap materials, underscoring the financial benefits of the campaign.
- Public Grievances Addressed: 2,66,097 public grievances were resolved, ensuring timely and efficient responses to citizens’ concerns.
- Public Grievance Appeals Resolved: An additional 73,863 public grievance appeals were successfully disposed of during the same period.
Setting the Stage for Special Campaign 4.0
With preparations in full swing, DFS has sensitized all its officers and coordinated with organizations under its purview to continue ongoing cleanliness activities. A series of meetings, both in-person and via video conferencing, have been held to finalize the roadmap for the upcoming campaign, ensuring the initiatives are well-planned and ready for launch on 2nd October 2024.
