First Certification Program for Senior Defence Officers as Independent Directors: IICA and DGR Initiative
In the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), in collaboration with the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence, launched the first-ever certification program designed to prepare senior defence officers for roles as independent directors. The inaugural session of this unique program took place on August 20, 2024, at the IICA Campus in Manesar, Gurugram, marking a significant step towards leveraging the leadership and strategic acumen of military officers in the corporate world.

The program has attracted 30 distinguished officers, including Air Vice Marshals, Major Generals, and Rear Admirals, representing all three branches of the Indian Armed Forces.
